New Olreans, LA March 13-20, 2010

This spring break we will make our fifth and final trip to New Orleans, LA to help with the recovery efforts after the 2005 hurricane. We are teaming up with Helping Hands, a project of Catholic Charities.  Their primary goal is to move neighbors back into their homes.  The projects we'll work on include drywall, siding, painting and landscaping.  They are a wonderful organization and we were blessed to work along side them.

The Team is now Full.  Our group of 26 students and staff members need your prayers and financial support. For more information on how you can help, please email lourdes_alonso@newman-asu.org.

No More Deaths in the Desert

Volunteer with "No More Deaths" this Spring Break.

For the past two years, No More Deaths has conducted a successful Alternative Spring Break program. Spring Break volunteers do essentially the same things summer volunteers do, just with a bit more emphasis on education.  The cost is tentatively set at $140 for the week (7 days at $20 per day).  You will need to provide your own transportation to Southern Arizona.

No More Deaths has served as an avenue for thousands of people of conscience to participate in direct humanitarian aid. The goal has been and is mobilization to confront an ongoing humanitarian emergency that is a direct consequence of US trade policy, border policy, and immigration policy.
