For Newman Center members as well as ASU students or alumni, the Old Church is a beautiful and sacred location for the celebration of a Catholic wedding ceremony! We are glad to assist you in making arrangements to be married here.

Members of other parish communities are able to reserve the Old Church nine months prior to the desired wedding date. We will also request a letter from the church where you are completing your marriage preparation.

Please note: If you are preparing for your marriage through the Newman Center, you must first attend your initial prenuptial meeting with a member of the Marriage Ministry staff before reserving the church for your wedding ceremony. If you are currently completing all of your marriage preparation requirements through another parish, please follow these steps:

• View the wedding calendar to see what dates and times are available for your wedding.
• Read and print a copy of the contract for the Old Church.
• Submit a request form for celebrating your wedding in the Old Church.

A member of the Marriage Ministry team will contact you to review the contract, answer any questions you may have, and confirm that your requested date and time are available and that a priest is available (if you have not invited your own priest to celebrate).

At that point, you will be asked to:

• Sign the final page of the contract and mail it to us along with your deposit. The total cost is $800 for registered members and $1,000 for non-community members. The deposit is $400 for registered members and $500 for non-community members.
• Contact Carmen Hinze, Director of Music, at 480-967-7823 to discuss plans for your wedding music.

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU DO THE FOLLOWING:

• Talk with your marriage preparation coordinator to ensure that your marriage file, including all necessary paperwork, is sent to us at least 8 weeks prior to the wedding date. Send to:

• Contact Carrie Powell at 480-967-7823 to make sure the file has arrived and is complete.
• Complete the Wedding Information form and send to us at least 4 weeks prior to your wedding. This information will help the wedding coordinator in making sure your wedding runs smoothly.
