Saints Alive, We're 75!

The All Saints Catholic Newman Center, the oldest, largest, and most active ministry group on campus, celebrates its 75th Anniversary this year! In 1932, when ASU’s student population numbered a mere 827, the “Newman Club” was founded as the first religious club on campus by 25 students who gathered for prayer, study meetings and social activities in the basement of the Old Church. Today, 75 years later, the Newman Center continues to flourish along with the staggering growth of the ASU main campus, now at over 52,000. The Newman Center provides thousands of students each year with a faith home in which they can develop their gifts and grow into moral and ethical Catholic leaders.

Over the past 75 years, hundreds of thousands of ASU students have been touched by the campus ministry of the All Saints Catholic Newman Center. While some keep in contact, unfortunately the community has lost track of many. In this 75th Anniversary year, Newman Center staff would like to hear from alumni. Those who attended the Newman Center while at ASU are encouraged to either call Jeanette Gemoll at 480-967-7823 or email alumni@newman-asu.org.
